Together we echo.
I am the turbulent silence you shatter.
You are the violent screams, the
Cries sheering out from miles of clanking depth.
The nights you left me to freeze,
I studied your rusty wrinkles.
Your lug nut eyes pierced through me,
Glaring, like a vicious photograph.
Your iron skin, dented and blotchy,
Flakes, like a dried scab from an ancient lash.
Your long countenance sags like an old
Horse’s face, stern, beautiful, full of cruelty.
Your heat makes me sick,
Your violent steam spews out
Hateful profanities, virulent with vodka,
Impudent with arrogance, as though
I were captive heir to them.
But tonight Dad, I have a wrench,
A crowbar, a hammer, a pliers.
And my mind is a blow torch
To destroy you.
